Anne-Marie - WRWC Opening Ceremony

"This energy is..." the spark to alight the tournament.

To open the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, we wanted Anne-Marie's comeback television performance to be the catalyst that set tone for the tournament to come. Visually inspired by the transfer of energy, our design for the opening ceremony performance aimed to build tension by using binary shapes and withholding color, building momentum in pacing throughout the performance all leading to one final explosive moment. The choreography and styling reflected this, the dancers starting casually in rugby style warm ups before building to rippling group choreography and stunts leaping off the main stage and out towards the audience, all while cladded in silver accents to reflect light.
