“FLASHES OF DECADENCE”
For Artemas’ Coachella debut and subsequent North America tour we reimagined the entire show as a piece of living flash photography. The screen acted like a strobe, firing bursts of front-flash imagery that revealed brief, overexposed glimpses. These moments tell the surreal story of a debauched night out over the course of the show where lights blur, time fractures, and reality bends.
We built a custom AI workflow and image model to create a highly stylised and gritty world to draw the unlimited coherent images from and use as the basis of the content. These were combined with an array of live cameras that appeared on screen for split-frame flashes, pulling the performer and audience directly into the same debauched universe.
