Maribou State - Hallucinating Love

As one of our most ambitious designs to date, Maribou State's Alexandra Palace show featured zoetropic-inspired kinetic screens and lighting modules, surrounding a stage plot which was designed to accomodate flexibility as various performers came and went including strings, percussion, and choir.

The zoetrope came as a culmination of exploring dualities in our Islington design, where the zoetrope made of vanish is a juxtaposition of old and new technology, but where also it whirls around the performance blending the duality that is Maribou State into their largest performance to date. The circular design is also referencing cycles, speficially that of the cycle of creativity that carried on and gained momentum whist Maribou State was away from performance for six years. This design then traveled with the band to Glastonbury for their headline performance.
